In recent years, Hydrodemolition has been growing in popularity for road and bridge repairs. The popularity is attributed to benefits, such as reduced labor, enhanced efficiency, absence of microfractures, preservation of rebar, and elimination of silica exposure. Another major benefit is the ideal bonding surface it creates, leading to longer lasting repairs. However, as beneficial as Hydrodemolition is, potential still exists for pipe holes, which can compromise bonding of new material if not handled properly. Earlier this year, new technology was introduced that greatly reduces pipe holes and significantly improves productivity. This webinar will delve into the pipe hole problem and how new Hydrodemolition technology can solve it, along with a host of other concrete removal issues. It will also include case studies from recent hydrodemolition projects involving bridge structure, water treatment and surface preparation.
