ECOCLEAR 20
Wastewater treatment system
The Ecoclear is an automated wastewater treatment
system specifically designed for hydrodemolition projects
to neutralize pH levels and reduce turbidity, allowing safe
environmental release or reuse in a closed-loop system.
This system enables treatment of wastewater in real time,
while maintaining an environmentally sound job site and
eliminating the need for a constant freshwater source or
third-party water removal.

Fully automated wastewater
treatment — clean water,
zero pollution.

Efficient and sustainable water management for hydrodemolition
The Ecoclear is an automated wastewater treatment system designed specifically for hydrodemolition applications. It treats contaminated water directly on site — neutralizing pH levels and reducing turbidity — allowing it to be safely discharged or reused in a closed-loop system.
By handling wastewater in real time, the Ecoclear helps maintain an environmentally responsible job site while reducing the need for freshwater supply and external water handling. This makes it a key part of Aquajet’s complete hydrodemolition solution, where robot, pump, and water treatment work together as one system.
Using carbon dioxide for pH neutralization and flocculation technology for particle separation, the system ensures consistent water quality while minimizing environmental impact. The integrated Reco 2.1 control system continuously monitors and regulates the process, ensuring safe and reliable operation at all times.
The result is a smarter, more efficient way to manage water — improving sustainability, reducing costs, and simplifying operations on site.

The Ecoclear is designed with a clear and structured interior, providing ample space for monitoring, maintenance, and storage. With large hatches, operators can easily access and follow the process as wastewater moves through the system, ensuring smooth and efficient operation on site.
The Ecoclear process
1. Inlet chamber
Collected wastewater enters the system, where a flocculating agent is added to bind particles together.
2. Flocculation process
A flocculating agent is automatically added to the water to bind suspended particles together into larger solids for easier separation.
3. pH neutralization
Carbon dioxide is introduced to neutralize the water pH and prepare the wastewater for the separation process.
4. Sludge separation and removal
Solid particles settle into an integrated storage hopper where the sludge is automatically removed using the built-in pump system.
5. Final pH adjustment
The treated water passes through an additional adjustment chamber to ensure stable and accurate pH levels before discharge.
6. Water quality verification

Closed-loop water recirculation
The Ecoclear enables a closed-loop system where water is reused throughout the hydrodemolition process:
- Fresh water is supplied to the system and fed to the high-pressure pump.
- From there, a high-pressure hose carries water to the hydrodemolition robot, that blasts away deteriorated concrete or other material.
- Wastewater is collected and transferred to the Ecoclear through a drain pump.
- The Ecoclear wastewater treatment system then treats the water and restores it to a neutral pH.
- Clean water is returned to the tank and reused in the process or safely released.
At the same time, separated sludge from the water treatment process is pumped out to be collected or recirculated back with the wastewater.
This closed-loop approach reduces water consumption, minimizes environmental impact, and improves overall efficiency on site.
