INFINITY OSCILLATION

AQUA CUTTER 3.0

Infinity oscillation is Aquajet’s patented breakthrough in hydrodemolition
technology, delivering smooth, continuous lance
motion for superior concrete removal. Unlike standard oscillation,
Infinity maintains constant surface speed—eliminating
pipe holes, improving cut quality, and dramatically increasing
productivity. Fully integrated with the Evolution 3.0 control
system, it automates optimal settings and ensures consistent,
high-performance results across any surface.

The evolution of oscillation

Oscillation has continually evolved to support more precise and efficient hydrodemolition. Traditional oscillation moves in a pendulum pattern.
This creates variations in speed — slowing down at the edges and speeding up in the center — which leads to uneven results and unnecessary stress on the system.

Aquajet’s patented Infinity oscillation changes that.

By moving in a continuous figure-eight pattern, the water jet maintains a constant surface speed across the entire working area while simultaneously creating a highly uniform cutting pattern.

Result: Exceptional precision, smoother surfaces, and increased overall performance.

Infinity oscillation eliminates pipe holes by design

Pipe holes occur when the water jet slows down during oscillation, causing uneven removal and deeper cuts at specific points. These imperfections can affect bonding and reduce the quality of the repair.

Infinity oscillation solves this by introducing a continuous figure-eight movement. Instead of stopping at dead centers, the lance keeps moving at a constant speed across the surface.

Infinity oscillation

  • Dual circular movement forming a figure-eight path.
  • Maintains consistent surface speed across the full cycle.
  • Produces a uniform cutting pattern.
  • Reduced need for manual fine-tuning due to automated calculations through Evolution control cystem 3.0.
  • Reduces the risk of pipe holes.
  • Creates a smoother surfaces.
  • Enhanced performance.
  • Require equipment equipped with Infinity technology.

Traditional oscillation

  • Pendulum-style lance movement.
  • Creates a sine-wave cutting pattern.
  • Natural variations in surface speed during each stroke.
  • Cutting characteristics shift as jet speed changes.
  • Well-established method familiar to many operators.
  • Produces a more uneven surface pattern, with risk of pipe holes.
  • Simple mechanical concept with long industry use.

At 2 → the system adds speed At 3 → the system reduces speed

This balances the motion so that the surface speed stays constant across the entire movement.

Instead of speeding up and slowing down, the nozzle moves evenly—creating a more consistent pattern (like a rounded square instead of a wave).

The nozzle moves in a pendulum pattern while the robot travels forward. This creates a varying surface speed across the surface.

At 1 (top turning point) → the movement slows down → low speed At 2 (middle) → average movement → optimal speed At 3 (bottom/middle pass) → fastest movement → high speed

Because the nozzle constantly speeds up and slows down, the surface is cut unevenly. At the slow points, more material is removed — which can create pipe holes and an irregular surface.

Through the oscillation menu, the system automatically calculates optimal settings for stroke, speed, and performance. It also visualizes performance factors in real time using color indicators for each segment of the oscillation, along with a calculated performance percentage—giving the operator clear, precise control at all times.
